Have you ever gone to an Italian restaurant and after the meal say
"that is the best Italian food I have ever had?" Probably, but
let me say this...I have had some of the best in the area. But I
have been dining at the Villa Valenti Restaurant since I was a kid,
and I truly can say that the "Villa" is the BEST! Nothing but the
best selection, ingredients, great portions, great prices, and great
customer service! The Sauce Company just compliments the Valenti 's.
Their generous donations from the proceeds of the sauce company go
to a local not-for-profit which I admire. Ralph has only carried on
the family's tradition- Genuine customer and community loyalty! If
you have not dined at the Villa Valenti Restaurant or Villa Valenti
Pub or tried their sauce...you must! And you'll agree, it will be the
best Italian food you ever had!

After reviewing your site I went to Hannaford and purchased your
meatless sauce to prepare a vegetarian lasagna...I was scared to be
honest as I never EVER purchase jarred sauce; however, since I had just
done 3 gallons of meatballs, sausage and red sauce from scratch I took a
risk and I wanted to let you know that it wasn't bad at all. I did not
"doctor" the sauce at all but rather added ingredients I enjoy into the
veggie lasagna such as fresh tomato, fresh basil and a touch of roasted
garlic...all in all your jar actually saved me time and the dish came
out great! Kudos from a FUSSY cook in Watervliet!!!

Here's a recent review from Gayot ... 10 hot restaurants around Albany,NY
"An easy fifteen minute drive from Albany, Villa Valenti offers traditional Italian dining in a relaxed atmosphere. In the restaurant business for three generations, the Valenti family continues to do it right, boasting an extensive (more than forty items) salad bar, hot savory rolls, excellent seafood, natural veal fresh cut daily, homemade pasta and red sauce popular enough to bottle and sell at market. We recommend the chicken Sorrento or the veal and peppers."
Mrs Majid's Comment:
"Hello Mr. Valenti,
Thanks for address. My family and I love your resturant. We used to come
every weekend when we live off Synder's Lake. We love the way, you come
out and greet all your customers. I don't know any resturant where the
owner comes to greet everyone. You are simply the best. The food is
wonderful. There is nothing like eating a wonderful Italian dinner,
that fills you up and leaves you wanting more. Thanks for helping abused
children, I think it's wonderful."
"Ralph, I have to agree. You're the best. The best food, excellent service. I go to the Villa every time I'm in town. I have so many great memories from there. Congratulations".

"My husband and I are new to the area, having moved here one year ago from Bangor, Me. We are originally from Baltimore, Md and spent many a wonderful time at a few of the older restaurants in Little Italy. We definitely intend to visit Villa Valenti. Thank you for sharing some of the family pictures--one even reminded me of my great grandmother."

Troy, NY
"I moved from Troy 18 years ago, but I have never forgotten Villa Valenti, a place an old boyfriend (and later ex-husband) introduced me to. I've lived all over the world ... NYC, Taiwan, Switzerland, Sweden ... and traveled to Italy a number of times ... but I've never had such good braciole as I had at your place!
I'm interviewing for a position in Troy, and if I get it, you can guess where the first place is I'll bring my family for dinner! Right now we live in Sweden, but finding your website was sweet torture ... remembering the chicken cacciatore , braciole ... sigh. I'm SO glad to see you're still there!"

"I loved the November 29th article by John Gray in the Troy Record ... I have to say it made me tear up a bit ...you deserve the accolades" !

This is the December 1st, 2006 article entitled, We Can Stop Abuse , submitted to the Troy Record "Pulse of the People" by Christine Deyss, the Executive Director of Prevent Child Abuse New York in Albany, NY.
"I was delighted to see the article about Ralph Valenti, the businessman with a heart of gold, in The Record . Ralph has been a long-time supporter of Prevent Child Abuse New York, since 1998 when he told us he'd make his marvelous pasta sauce available in stores and, at the same time, raise funds to support our work to prevent child abuse and neglect.
Prevent Child Abuse New York often poses the question, "Who holds the answers to child abuse?" Ralph and his company understand that the answer is "We all do!" All of our programs have a single purpose: To assure that children live in families that love, nuture and protect them. The best prevention is to stop child abuse from happening in the first place, so that is the main focus of our work.
We're pleased that Hannaford is carrying Villa Valenti sauces, and very appreciative that Ralph has extended his support to Prevent Child Abuse chapters in Vermont and other states that have Hannaford stores. We all work together, with each other and with people who live in our communities. Because working together ... we can stop abuse.
